Seasoned Air Fryer Hamburger Patties
Air Fryer Burger Patties Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 lb (450g) lean ground beef (80/20 blend)
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
¼ tsp garlic powder
-
¼ cup barbecue sauce (optional)
-
4 burger buns
-
Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, etc.)
Instructions:
Step 1: Season the Ground Beef
In a mixing bowl, add the ground beef along with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir or mix by hand until the spices are evenly incorporated into the meat.
Step 2: Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into round patties about ½ inch thick. Press a small dimple in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up while cooking. If you like, brush each patty with barbecue sauce for added flavor.
Step 3: Air Fry the Burgers
Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C). Once hot, place the patties in the basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Air fry for 6 minutes.
Step 4: Flip and Continue Cooking
Carefully flip each patty over and cook for another 3–5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), ensuring they're safely cooked through.
Step 5: Add Cheese (Optional)
If you’re adding cheese, place a slice on each patty and return them to the air fryer for about 1 more minute, just enough to melt the cheese.
Step 6: Build Your Burgers
Remove the patties and place each one on a burger bun. Add your preferred toppings and sauces to make it your own.
Tip: For best results, avoid overmixing the meat when seasoning — this helps keep the burgers juicy and tender.
